Twenty One honors legendary Memphis basketball coach, Larry Finch. As a player for the University of Memphis, Finch wore number 21 and broke through racial boundaries by playing for the Tigers after the assignation of MLK. In the 72-73 season, he led Memphis State to the NCAA championship game. Although the Tigers didn’t win, it set the stage for Memphis to be the basketball town that it is today.
